Miami Township seeks to fill the vacated position of fiscal officer for Miami Township, Montgomery County, Ohio. The appointed person will fulfill the unexpired term ending March 31, 2028.
Eligible candidates must be a citizen of the United States, at least 18 years of age, a resident of the State of Ohio and Miami Township, Montgomery County, Ohio, and a registered voter for at least 30 days prior to the appointment. Per Ohio Revised Code §503.24, the township has 30 days to make an appointment. Prospective candidates should refer to Ohio Revised Code §507 for more information on the responsibilities of the fiscal officer. Hillgrove Union Cemetery is once again offering Memorial Day flower arrangements for purchase. Pots are $30 each and will be placed at grave sites May 22-June 1. Each pot costs $30. The deadline to order is April 30, 2026.

Hillgrove Union Cemetery is a 30-acre property located at 1002 E. Central Avenue, in Miamisburg. It was established in 1863 and is managed by Miami Township and the city of Miamisburg.
The Miami Township Board of Trustees approved a new contract for waste collection during its February 17, 2026, business meeting. Rumpke Trash and Recycling will once again provide service to the community over the course of a new three-year contract with two optional years.After a competitive bid process in November 2025, it was determined that Rumpke offered the lowest monthly rates to our community.The new contract will begin July 1, 2026, at a rate of $17.89 a month per customer. The contract will continue as follows:
July 1, 2027 - $18.83July 1, 2028 - $19.82Optional year 1 - $20.86Optional year 2 - $21.95
“This new contract ensures quality services from Rumpke that our community has come to expect,” Trustee President Terry Posey, Jr., said. “We have contracted with Rumpke since 2018 as they have provided the best value and commitment to the township.”The new three-year deal also continues to offer weekly recycling collection, yard waste collection and bulk item pickup. The current collection schedule will not change. Residents can continue to rent a 95-gallon trash cart from Rumpke at $1.50 per month or request a smaller sized cart.
