The Montgomery County Engineer’s Office will close Lamme Road from Alex-Bell Road north to Bushwick Drive beginning Thursday, January 19, 2023, to replace the bridge over Holes Creek. The construction project will keep that portion of roadway closed for approximately eight months.
Motorists will be detoured to State Route 741 from Alex-Bell north to Stroop Road. Local traffic will be maintained and pedestrians will still have access.
The engineer’s office says new pedestrian sidewalks will be installed on the new bridge and Lamme Road will be resurfaced, along with replacement of some damaged curb and sidewalk. The traffic signal at Alex-Bell and Lamme roads will be replaced. For more information, contact the Montgomery County Engineer’s Office at (937) 225-4904.
