[ARCHIVED] National Drug Takeback Day

Drug take back Nov 2018

The National Prescription Drug Take Back Day addresses a crucial public safety and public health issue. According to the 2016 National Survey on Drug Use and Health, 6.2 million Americans misused controlled prescription drugs. The study shows that a majority of abused prescription drugs were obtained from family and friends, often from the home medicine cabinet. The DEA’s Take Back Day events provide an opportunity for Americans to prevent drug addiction and overdose deaths (Source: DEA).

Bring any unwanted and expired prescription drugs to the Miami Township Police Department, 2660 Lyons Road, on Saturday, Oct. 27, 2018, from 10 a.m. until 2 p.m. Our staff will be on hand to assist you, or you can place them in the prescription drop-off box that sits in the lobby. This is a FREE program!
