Public Works welcomes township children to become Snow Kids this winter! The program gives your child, ages 5 - 17, the chance to see their name posted on the passenger side door of a snowplow for the winter season. The inaugural contest in 2024 was a huge success! Selected children in 2024 must re-enter their name if they wish to be included in the 2025 contest.
The deadline to enter is Wednesday, November 26, 2025. Names will be drawn at random on December 4, 2025. Selected Snow Kids will be notified by the contact information emailed to publicworks@miamitownship.com. Please include the following:
-Child's name
-Home address
-Email address
-Contact phone number
After selection, winning Snow Kids and their families will have the opportunity to tour our public works facility to see the snowplows firsthand. They can meet the drivers, discuss our winter operations and sit inside a snowplow!
It is especially important that we receive the child's home address so that the Snow Kids see their name on the truck whose route covers their neighborhood. Public Works will make every effort to match the child's name with the proper truck. Be sure your child stays a safe distance away as the snowplows drive by!
