The Montgomery County Township Association honored Deputy Director of Community Development Alex Carlson with the 2021 Employee of the Year - Special Projects Award. Carlson was presented with his award during the December 7 Board of Trustees meeting. During that meeting, Community Development Director Chris Snyder highlighted several projects that Carlson successfully managed. Among them, execution of the Citizenserve online portal that allows people to apply and pay for zoning applications online. Alex's work with the new comprehensive plan and development of a township drone operation, were also noted.
Carlson started work with the township in 2017. He recently received certification through the American Planning Association, earning the American Institute of of Certified Planners distinction.
