Miami Township has been advised of plans for a demonstration, Saturday, June 6, 2020, at and around Waldruhe Park, 10000 Springboro Pike (SR 741), from noon until 2 p.m. We have every expectation that this will be a peaceful and lawful event.

“Miami Township supports anyone who wants to peacefully assemble to have their message heard,” Township Administrator Ronald L. Hess said. “Our community is built around this constitutional right and we will do all we can to keep everyone safe.”

Traffic along State Route 741 near Austin Landing may become congested. The right lane of SR 741 northbound will be shut down for the duration of the demonstration and a planned march for safety purposes. All other lanes will be open for travel, but motorists should consider an alternate route during the hours of the demonstration.

Demonstration organizers and the Miami Township Police Department have worked in conjunction to make this event a safe and peaceful demonstration.
