The Miami Township Police Department launched its new mobile app that residents can download to their phones for free. They can leave tips for officers, use a crime mapping tool, leave a comment or complaint, and get information from the department’s school resource officers and detectives. It also has the capability to send out real time alerts. It is an easy way to engage with the department.
“We are finding that a lot of people prefer to use social media platforms to connect with us, so we want to make it as easy as we can for them to do that,” Police Chief Charlie Stiegelmeyer said. “It’s another tool in our toolbox to help us prevent crime and get to know the people we serve.”
You can find the new mobile app in the Apple Store and coming soon in Google Play. Simply search for ‘Miami Township PD’. The police department also invites the community to follow them on its new Twitter account as well. Search for ‘Miami Township, Montgomery County, Ohio, Police’ to follow us.
