[ARCHIVED] #LightOhioBlue

Light Ohio Blue 2019

The Miami Township Police Department is proud to help #LightOhioBlue May 8-16, 2019. This statewide initiative honors law enforcement officers and civilian staff who protect Ohio residents and pays tribute to those who lost their lives in the line of duty.

Here’s how you can take part:

#LightOhioBlue wants you to flip the switch on some blue exterior lighting at your house! Here in Miami Township, stop by Batteries Plus Bulbs or any hardware store and purchase blue light bulbs to shine brightly outside your home from May 8-16. Businesses can shine a spotlight on their facade or maybe you have another great idea!

We want to help:

Starting Monday, April 29, township residents can stop by the police department lobby, 2660 Lyons Road, between 8 a.m. – 3:30 p.m., to pick up a complimentary blue light bulb donated by Montgomery County Law Enforcement Memorial Inc. and Batteries Plus Bulbs. Supplies are limited, so first come, first served. Please, take only one bulb per household.

Then:

Be sure to follow the Miami Township Police Department Facebook page and the #LightOhioBlue Facebook page for updates and other great ideas that help us shine a blue light on Miami Township. And, remember to share your photos with us.

For more information visit #LightOhioBlue online or call us at 937-433-2301.
