Parking Bureau
The Miami Township Police Department Parking Bureau was approved by the township Board of Trustees on March 1, 2022. The bureau consists of a violations clerk and hearing examiner appointed by the township administrator. Per township Resolution #27-2022 (revised from Resolution #13-2022), the parking bureau took full effect 30 days after the Miamisburg Municipal Court authorized its establishment. The Non-Criminal Parking Infraction Violation will include (click on 1.1 - 1.6 to read more; 1.7 and 1.8 have no link):
1.1 Prohibited Standing or Parking Places - General
1.2 Trailer/semitrailer/POD/dumpsters/extended parking
1.6 Registered owner prima-facie liable for unlawful parking
1.7 Answering parking ticket - A person who is issued a parking ticket under this resolution shall answer to the parking ticket within ten days of receipt thereof.
1.8 Fines - The fines applicable to parking infraction violations shall be as indicated in the attached parking ticket.
The police department is required by resolution to post the Non-Criminal Parking Infraction Violation information. Residents may pick up a copy at one of the following locations during regular business hours for each: Miami Township Police Department - 2660 Lyons Road; Miami Township Government Center - 2700 Lyons Road; Miami Township Public Works - 10891 Wood Road; Miami Valley Fire District Station 52 - 2710 Lyons Road; Dayton Metro Library Miami Township branch - 2718 Lyons Road.
