Dayton and Montgomery County Public Library

Hello! We are the 22nd branch of the Dayton and Montgomery County Public Library system and our fully trained library staff is ready to assist you. We are looking forward to serving the Miami Township community and its citizens.

We offer many services at the Miami Township Branch Library:

• We offer materials for adults, young adults, and children, including books, magazines, videos, CD's, cassettes, and DVD movies.  You can find books to listen to on tape or CD.
• Reference assistance is available to all age groups. From children's homework to adult hobbies, we will help you to find the information you need.
• Our "May We Recommend..." program is designed with the reader in mind. If you've read a great book and you want another title along the same plot-lines, we'll provide you with a list of books and authors to match your wishes. You can ask a staff member for a form to fill out or look for a form in the book stacks.
• Lists of upcoming titles and releases are available and we will be happy to place your name on the waiting list for any specific titles.
• We offer exciting programming for all age groups. Children's story time, young adult and adult book discussion groups, summer reading clubs for all ages, Internet instruction, plus much more! If you have a topic you would like to see discussed, please ask at the Circulation desk.
• Are we missing a title on our shelves that you want? Tell us about it and we'll special order it and place you at the top of the reserve list.
• Internet access is available at numerous workstations. Along with free Internet usage, you'll also have access to the Dayton and Montgomery County Public Library's full service databases, including Encyclopedia Britannica, Ancestry.com, and EBSCO Full Text Magazine databases. Printing is ten cents per page.
• Contests and games are never far away at the Miami Township Branch Library. There is always something going on to challenge your mind as well as entertaining games for all ages to play.
• Our library staff is available to visit and speak to your group or organization, give book-talks, present Internet demonstrations and instruction, and perform story times for your pre-school or day care classes within the Miami Township service area. Please ask a staff member for further information.
• Need an article right now that only the Main Library or another branch has? No problem! We'll have the article faxed to you at a cost of ten cents a page. Just let us know and we'll have it for you in minutes.
• Two study rooms and a meeting room (which seats 60) are available for nonprofit organizations to use at the Miami Township Branch Library. Ask about booking the rooms at the circulation desk or call us at 227-9567.
