The Community Foundation of Miami Township is a 503(c) public charity that is a component of The Dayton Foundation. It was created in 1998 by a committee of township volunteers and is endorsed by the Board of Trustees. The CFMT helps individuals and groups with charitable giving in support of local needs. While the CFMT is not associated with the Miami Township government, it does work closely with officials on community projects.
Among its many contributions, the CFMT played a pivotal role in purchasing thermal imaging cameras for the Miami Valley Fire District, and completing several projects for the Miami Township branch of the Dayton Metro Library. Perhaps most noteworthy, is the foundation's commitment to the veterans of our community. A foundation committee oversaw the fundraising, design and construction of the Miami Township Veterans Memorial on the government center grounds. The CFMT celebrated the memorial's 10th anniversary in July 2018.
The foundation board encourages the community to donate by purchasing commemorative bricks to be placed at the base of the granite memorial in the name of loved ones who have served our country. Brick order forms are available on this site, as well as the CFMT website, and at the entrance to the memorial. Mail your brick order form to: The Community Foundation of Miami Township, P.O. Box 1134, Miamisburg, OH, 45343-1134.
